NAKHON RATCHASIMA: A total of 29,840 applicants flocked to 17 venues in five districts of this northeastern province to sit in an examination for jobs in local administration offices for fiscal year 2017. In Muang district, the largest venue for the exam is Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, followed by Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, Nakhon Ratchasima Mechanical Engineering and Commercial College and Nakhon Ratchasima Vocational Education College. All of the applicants are allowed to enter an exam room in sport pants and T-shirts after a body search. They can take into the exam room only a sharpened pencil while all electronic devices are prohibited to prevent cheating. The exam for screening applicants to work in local administration offices for the year 2017 is held simultaneously throughout the country to fill up altogether 20,602 positions.
